Radiating cables are used whenever normal radio communication is difficult or impossible in particular in communication systems where a discrete antenna would not provide adequate coverage. A radiating cable functions both as a transmission line and as an antenna. Hansen 50 ohms radiating coaxial cables have very good performances and can be widely used in the following applications:
Buildings
Mines, subways and tunnels
Travelers information stations/highway advisory radio
Uncovered area by antennas

According the construction of outer conductor, Hansen 50 ohms radiating coaxial cable can be divided into two series:
corrugated copper tube with abrading peaks (A) series
smooth copper tube with slots or apertures (B) series
The former is fit for wide frequency range and has excellent electrical performances in the whole bands; while the other is more often used in the narrower range and can be designed to attain optimal properties in the specific band.
